Default RE: GAS OUTBOARD guys this is our new home

Hi Dicko, good to meet you !
Thanks for the posts.
What I want to add to the discussion around the SLAM009 is what I find amazing, in as much as the motor is certainly producing more horses as well as being quick out of the corner, it still has a very nice throttle/rev control range, which is especially important on the outboard tunnel hulls for driver control.
I have run some VERY fast motors, but found them to be to "on/off" the power and very difficult to control, making the F1 Gas tunnel a nightmare to race.
The SLAM009 motor will also give one many more hours of good running due to its 4 bearing/billet aluminium crank case being more stable than the cast type, as well as it being a very noticeably smooth running motor, having far less vibration due to the good balancing of the various running components.
I for one am enjoying it and am looking forward to realising its overall 'Run in" potential ! 2 more hours to go !
Regards
