actually the hinge is probably why I still have the original threads on mine. I got sick of duct taping it up and having to clean the glue off every 5-6 runs and just stopped using it after I'm guessing 2 months. If I remember right my fast traxx's shell wasn't even that scratched up vs. some of my other Tyco RC's some of which I almost destroyed.
