I did something similar to what you're doing.
I learned that it's a waist of a good engine to try and make a "draggy" airframe go fast.
It was fun but the model sucked fuel like it was going out of style so I put a AX .75 back on it and I'm saving the Jett for something else.
I love sticks...
There's another guy at the field with one and we had a blast drag racing on the ground. It was a Hoot! Down elevator at wide open throttle ALL the way down the runway. Ten feet from the pond and pull back on the stick.....
Land and do it all over again... Sometimes a nose gear CAN be fun.
