Default RE: WACO Custom Cabin project

The plan is underway but point of detail has emerged as a potential problem. The C7 series has a split flap design. Due to the relative thickness (thinness?) of the model's trailing edge, it looks as if a very fragile trailing edge condition will exist by carving in a split flap. This would not be a problem if the wing was planked but it's fabric covered to remain true to the original. I have looked at a couple of examples here on the board of what others have done to incorporate a split flap into the wing. The best of both ended up in the design under consideration. Have a look at the sketch. The flap is roughly 13" long and 1 5/8" wide. I believe the sheeting will add enough strength to make a relatively robust trailing edge but may be prone to warpage. Agree? Disagree? Suggestions?

As an aside, some problems with the 3 view surfaced. The 80% confidence level is now 90% with the corrections drawn in.
