Default older radios still AMA legal?

Hello,

Several years ago I inherited my father's stash of RC flying stuff. I'm just now getting around to dusting things off and hopefullying getting back in the air.

Among other things in my fathers stash, there are two transmitters (with receivers, servos, etc.) but I'm not sure if they comply with current frequency regulations.

The radios are:
1. JR MAX 6 (mod#: J6FC2) The transmitter and receiver crystals are tagged 72.210 mHz.

2. Airtronics Vanguard (mod#: VG6DR) The transmitter and receiver are both tagged 72.670 mHz.

Do these transmitters comply with current AMA and FCC regulations for RC aircraft?

thanks,
Rob Pinkston
