RE: Ziroli F6F Hellcat Builder's Diary
Ok maidened my Hellcat Saturday and all went well with pics to follow as soon as my friends send them to me. GT-80 ran like a clock but I may try another prop to see how it is. I have a question for all of you who have been flying your Hellcats. Did you like where CG is on the plans or did you move it? One thing I noticed was that there is a change of 3 lbs. of weight change when retracting the gear. The reason I ask was that when coming in it really dropped the nose when I backed off the power. I greased the landing and I know I am not used to it but it seemed a bit nose heavy when landing. I have it balanced exactly per the plans but wondering where everybody else is at.
