RE: apache owners
well i took her out today for a run and was not very happy with the way she ran. first the carby had blockage so in to pit lane for some tinkering, ok so all clear, back on it goes and sure enough more problems. i dont know how this happened but the flex shaft worked itself loose, so now i had to go swimming [:@]. i think the new prop i put on (67/17/3) is to small for the mod Zen. it seemed to be cavitating alot and took a while to get on the plain (maybe thats how the shaft became loose?). i have a old prather 275 and that prop makes this boat hual a#$ with the mod zen, so im thinking maybe a 70/19/3 voodoo would be a good starting point. does anyone have any thoughts on what prop wound be ideal for a 6hp zen? also would a cavitating prop cause the flex shaft to come loose? i need a bigger prop so i dont over rev the engine.
