The product I used is called TECHNOWELD... ever heard of it?
Web site:
Technoweld
This stuff basically solders anything that contains aluminium.
It is easy to work with because it melts at 430°C and aluminium at approximately 650°C.
I first had my doubts about trying to weld this thing back together, but apparently it holds...
Side effect of the rugged engine mount: the plane is MUCH louder, and the fuel foams slightly, but nothing excessive.
I started cutting the pipe this afternoon (header is used up
)... I'm still gaining rpm, but I'm not going to push it since it is about 35°C down here and I don't want to fry my engine.
I can now hold the plane straight up, and if I let go, it just takes off straight up...cool... and all this on that tiny 8x8...
I'm really starting to wonder when something is going to break in this engine... A Webra was never ment to develop this kind of power...
