Default RE: Ziroli F6F Hellcat Builder's Diary

So, my Hellcat is ready for maiden... OK I need just few little things to do, but 99% of model is done...

I made many scale details in this model.
Hellcat have Fema modellbau on board starting system with few custom parts made particular for this engine.

Hellcat have working tail hook and all lights...

On down side of fuselage servo operated cooling doors...

Retracts and all pneumatic system are from Robart.

Engine is Zenoah GT 80 with Tony Clark two in one exhaust. From that exhaust I made custom exhaust so, now exhaust gas are going out on same place like on original airplane...
Propeler is Xoar 24x10...

Cocpit is D Balsa, pilot is from Vaily aviation, dumy engine from FTE...

All instruments are like original, drawn first in Corel Draw and in front pilot is target with light inside, so on glass pilot can see little cross...

I was not measured model yet, but I think it will be between 18-19 kilograms (40-42 lbs).

For all control surfaces I used Hitec HS 645 MG servos and for other controls Futaba 3003.
In airplane are 5 batteries, three NiMh Enelop 2100 mAh, two for receiver, and one for JR Match Box (for 4 flaps servo), one NiMh 3 cells for light system and one 3 cell Li-Po 2200 mAh for starter.

Finish on model made my friend which is professional auto painter. We need three weeks to paint everything...

I hope that in next few week I will made maiden flight...
