On this particular plane I run an APC 5.7X3 which gives good but not outrageous speed. This particular cylinder only needed one shim on 25% nitro. On most every Cox engine I run, I will vary the gaskets as temperature and humidity change. I'm in South Carolina and the temp/humidity in the summer usually runs 90/90 whereas on a nice fall or spring day it may be 50/30. I have a Bob Harris Quikshot running a similar set-up with an APC 4.2X4 for speed since it is a 1/2A pylon racer and need not be concerned so much with vertical climb.
