You know, there is nothing keeping anyone in the U.S. from building and flying a model like that B-52. You would just have to arrange for a place to fly it. All you would be missing is AMA insurance coverage.

The AMA does not create federal, state or local legislation.

Did you say that the C17 has been test flown? I've been following his thread for a while now, and have waiting a long time to see or hear about the flight!

Mine has not been flown yet as I can't get everyone together for a test date. Me being in Ireland and the certification guys being in England has it's problems.

Colins has flow now 2 proper flights.

I hope Tom Wilkinson wont mind me putting this here, its Colin Straus's model. At this rate there will soon be more models than the RAF has C17s

The B52 has 8 Wren 54 Auto start turbines, if you look else where on the Wren site you will see other pictures of the engines being tested etc.
It is an amazing model!
