Engine for .30 size delta
I am building a spad delta with a 28" wingspan. What engine (~.32) would be good to make this go fast without costing too much?

RE: Engine for .30 size delta
For speed..... my recommendations....
Webra 32,33 or 36 would be my first choice (econonmy minded). ThunderTiger 36 is next. Either engine powerful and reliable right out of the box.
OS32 is also a possibility, but cost about $125 with muffler
The Thundertiger is about $75 with muffler and is one of the best values out there.
The webra 36 is about $110.... does not come with a muffler as standard equipment. The webra muffler is about $40. For $10 more its worth while getting a jett-stream muffler. About $160 total.
Bolt a Jett-stream muffler on either one, and add 1200 rpm to the top end.
I hope this is helpful.

RE: Engine for .30 size delta
does about what it did on the OS32 and TT engines....... figure on at least 800 rpm more.... more likely 1000 (on the same prop). The OS 25 and 32 both respond quite nicely.

RE: Engine for .30 size delta
mvvs .28 is probably an ok choice too...... but I have no first hand experience with mvvs engines in the 30 size range.
If I recall the price on those is around $80. Im not sure if it comes standard with a muffler. A quick look at the morris web page didnt provide any mention of a muffler.
Clearly, if you wanted maximum peformance here, the choice would be a Jett BSE-35. Good news is it will drop in where an OS/TT/Webra goes with the same mounting holes... incase its something looked into later.
