I recently purchased two 925MGs from two different suppliers. I want to use both for a dual elevator set-up.

One supplied me with the "older version" of the servo, the one with the paper packaging and the white servo arms. The other supplier sent me the newer, clear blue plastic case-packaged servo with the new style black arms. The label on the newer version servo is different, too.

I opened up the cases and saw differences in the control boards on the servo bottom. The newer version seems to have done away with some SMT resistors and some connections are routed in a different way on the PCB.

I also observed differences in operation. I connected both servos on two different, but mixed channels to simulate elevator movement and at full deflection the newer servo jittered a bit. It seems to handle minor voltage fluctuations worse than the older version (which BTW is perfect). I observed similar behaviour with a new-version 945MG. Maybe those missing resistors did the trick...

Is that where the differences end? I'm afraid that the newer servos may have marginally different specs no matter what the fancy box says. Has anyone experienced similar behaviour??

I recently received 5 of the 945mg servos in the new packaging (transparent blue plastic box). Mine don't jitter at full deflection but they do for a couple seconds when you return the stick to neutral. A couple of them also jitter when you give just slight input, both up and down. I talked to Hitec today and was told they're not sure what is causing it, but to send them in. Not very happy about having to send in 5 out 5 brand new servos for warranty work.
