Whoa! I found this terrible plane in my photos. I know whose it is and I was there when he was flying it.

It's basically three kinds of trainers cobbled together, a wore out engine and an "exhaust abatement" system for the dude who didn't like to clean his model. It was put together with a wing from one plane, fuselage from another and tail feathers from a third. What a beauty. It's been wrecked and bashed up so many times it weighs 2 lbs more than it should.

I think it will be a fantastic start to a new collection. If you know of a really ugly plane, send it my way or post it here. I have room on my website for stuff like this.

some years back I did a workshop for our club and built this easy one from plans and then went crazy with the monokote to show the guys that anything you can think of you can usually do. The plane is called 'the Real thing'.

Shoot, I remember seeing that plane hanging for sale in the old hobby shop for the longest time...always thought some folks taste were only in their mouth.
'course that was 9 YEARS ago...didn't know Artie then...and if you think it was ugly in the photo...well let me just say that the picture doesn't really do it justice...
Hideous was the word that came to mind.
