Waco, TX pics
Had a wonderful weekend at the HOTMAC annual pattern contest. Thanks go to Todd Blose, Max Blose, and their helpful club members who put together another great pattern event. Saw some great aircraft and thought I would share some of the pics... I believe there were 31 pilots.

Yes, and on behalf the other member of the M&M Pattern Team from Pasadena, M.A., allow me to express our sincere appreciation for all the hard work that the HOTMACS club did to put on another very fine pattern contest.
Very best regards,

Bob,
Those pictures with the windsocks lying down were early Saturday morning before flying began. By the time the flying started the winds were there to greet us! They weren't really bad, but I'd say at least 15 mph most of the time, 45 degrees to the runway.
It was a blast!

Results are at:
http://members.cox.net/don.ramsey/
Look on the left for Contest/Results and then find the Waco event and click results.
I'd say Mark's design handled itself pretty well among it's peers (lucky for him I had engine problems and only had one complete round). Other planes flown in class were: Smaragd, Hyde-out, Epsilon, Aries, Explorer ARF, Eagle One (Buddy Brammer design), Epicure, Focus ARF, and the original Insight.
Thanks Todd BLose and the HOTMAC team for putting on another fantastic event...

RE: Waco, TX pics
Mark's Insight was outstanding in pretty tough conditions as he won four of the five rounds. Granted he's a good piolt but the plane more than proved itself against thirteen others of all types (see the pictures).

Wow,
Unfortunately Im in one of those pics.. YUK!
But seriously it was a great contest and went without a hitch. Had a great time with John, Martin, Mark, Marks flying buddy Richard?, Jim, Don, Todd, Buddy, Tommy, Charlie, Chuck, Mike P., Keith and everyone else that I spent time with. Really great bunch of guys.
I flew Marks insight and let me tell you something. It is fantastic, there wasnt another plane at the contest that slowed down as well as Marks plane. I have never flown a plane that flew like it had airbrakes in the downlines, you had to get in the throttle to maintain speed going straight down! It was really neat and gave you all day to setup between maneuvers, tracks straight as an arrow and at <10pounds it flies like a feather.
Looks like Im going to be buying another pattern plane, Im like an alchoholic one taste and Im hooked again.[8D]
