Default MRC ThunderKing

just picked up a pair of brand new never run 1/7th scale MRC Thunder kings (electric) to add to my collection. i already have two currently and this will make four now wooo hoooo haha!!!! i was wondering if MRC still even has any parts for these trucks?? I remember calling about 3 years ago and being able to order a-arms for the truck but i havent tried since. Also i saw a topic on some dudes project Thunderking, he added custom shocks,a nd carbon fiber really looked good. he also used what i think were HPI savage A-arms.. aybody know any details about this mod??

I have three of these trucks. One is running in stock condition, one was bought as a parts truck and the last is running a novak HV-maxx 4400 brushless system. It's really a blast to drive.

I bought one of these new like 15yrs ago. It needs a lot of work. I know it is subjective but is it worth rebuilding it. Was thinking of getting emaxx sc and motors off ebay for power.

That's exactly what I was thinking about doing. But I didn't know if I could race it anywhere and that's alot of mulla just for bashing. And this is just kinda of a side hobby to do with my kids.

Hi guys, I was looking for parts for my Thunderking when I found this Post/Site! Well, I am amazed that the Thunderking is still a popular truck! I have owned mine for 12 years. It have never given me a problem. I take it to the beach a few times a year. I have a great deal of RC cars, all of which I use on a daily basis (I am a pharmaceutical engineer, you need to relax on you breaks or someone could die) but my thunderking has always been a subject of worry to me. I have not been able to find parts for it in years, but considering that nothing ever breaks, it really hasn't been a problem. I do know my gears are in bad shape and just ordered the all alluminum gears for it. I am looking forward to getting the new parts, although the Thunderking will be sitting on its shelf until June. What kind of lube should I use on the gears? With brass gears you dont need any but alluminum may wear a bit much. Any one else have them?

The Boss:
What is different about your ThunderKings? Did the come raised like that? Did you do that? Mine is bone stock, right down to the motors, but I really like what you did to them!

triggeraa:
Where did you get all those parts? Did you make them? That truck looks awesome!

Heres a shot of mine that I had on hand:
