Electric Sailplane for Aerial Photography?
Could anyone suggest a good electric sailplane that could be used for aerial photography? I'd like for it to be an ARF, and fairly simple to get ready as I have never attempted an electric before. I'd also like for it to have enough power to fly decently. Am I asking too much? I'm looking for something that could be flown near a neighborhood without the noise of a glow engine. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance!

RE: Electric Sailplane for Aerial Photography?
I'm putting the finishing touches on an Aspire sailplane. I hacked the nose off and put a small brushless motor in it (geared Mega 16/15/3)
It flys very well, but we'll see after I add my 8 ounce digital camera!

Hi
This is Just MHO but if post your question about what to buy in an electric/gliders forum you may get a better response. Then when you get a short list, evaluate each models ability to carry a camera.
Im going to try using my Golden Oriole (bought via Ebay), which is an E glider, plastic fuselage, built up wings, ail/ele/rud/thr and I have two servos for aileron so use flaperon for slow flight at alt or spoilerons to get down quick. It has a nice flat surface on the side of the fuselage so may suit the camera BUT glue doesnt stick real good(at all) to the plastic fuselage so other mods may be req'd.

Thanks for the info, Lancair! I do have this question posted in the electric section also. This is just the one that I started out with.
