Default FOV specs on FPV cameras and goggles

I've been wondering about how field of view specifications for FPV cameras which can range from 90° - 120° 130°, relates to the field of view specs for the goggles which sometimes are as low as 25°? Can anyone shed light on how to maximize the field of view with an FPV set up? I also have seen a 3-D goggle set advertised and I'm wondering if you can use separate cameras or if they' have to be matched. Guess I'm just looking for how to achieve the most natural view from the cockpit for FPV flying? If this is not the right forum please redirect me.
