Default First video post...

Ok. I think I got this going. Finally bought some web space to host my own vids. I'm not sure if this is set up right, BUT try this here clicky and see what happens. Hopefully you will get the video. Sorry about the lame quality but I had to reduce it to a 7 meg wmv file so it could more accessible. Not everyone has cable or DSL. Hope you like it...

Thanks guys! I liked the Fubar vids so I bought Pinnacle Studio 8 and the Pinnacle DV80 so I could get taped video into my pc. Studio 8 is kind of buggy, but once you get familiar with it, it is easy to use. That was actually my 3rd video. The first two I was learning to use the prog so they aren't too good and they came out at 66 and 99 megs.

I too wish I could walk out of my house and take off. My airfield is actually my mothers' property. Her house is to the right of that big red building. She lives an hour away, but I like going out there cuz no one is around to hassle me (except the cows and rabbits). And me and my girl like to go visit her and fly on Sundays.

I bought the 50meg package at rcsites so I could learn to build a web page and host my pics and vids. It's still under construction, but I'm going to leave the video for a while so you can link if you want.

AND YES... I am a big Rush fan!!!

How do you compress your videos to that size? Mine are all huge, is it the file type?

Billiam
I chose the "stream" and "make windows media file" when I rendered the vid with Studio 8. Mpegs and avi's were just too big. This is the first and only program I have used so that's all I know. I'm a video making NOOB!!

Fubar
I was just getting into this aerial photography thing when I thought "wouldn't it be funny if".... Well, Mom does have a tractor for mowing the pasture and I do have a fertile imagination... hehe....

My runway is still under construction. When Spring rolls around, I'm going to strip the whole pasture to the dirt and reseed with some better grass. For the actual runway part, after reseeding, that will get packed down and rolled flat. When the grass comes in I should have a nice flat runway. I have 3 planes that I will fly out there because I made the landing gear mounts very strong so it's not a problem.

Any of you guys have an idea of what type of grass I should use?

I can suggest a type which great for flying but probably not so good for landing. More than a little illegal tho...

I put my first video up. I converted it from a 66 meg mpeg to an 8 meg wmv file. It's not too good, but worth looking at once...

aaron, I really like the music you have on your videos, it is very complimentary to the aerial videos.

<editted> Just saw the post above about where the music came from.

Cool stuff!

Thanks,
Bill

I updated the vid links so if anyone linked to directly to the vids you need to update. It won't change again. Had to reorganize the directorys on my web site. I recommend linking to the site instead cuz my main page URL will never change.
