Default Draganfly video upgrade

I'm thinking of getting a Draganfly IV. I like the idea of onboard wireless video, but the CMOS optional camera they offer doesn't give me the quality I'm after. I was blown away by the clarity of the BlackWidowAV clips I've seen and I'm wondering if their BWAV200 would be a good match. Compatible power requirements?

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,

The BWAV200 will run on the same 5v that the draganfly does, but it draws ALOT more current. What you get in exchange though is much better range and image quality. The draganfly camera puts out 10mw of RF power, while the BWAV200 puts out 200mw of RF power. The BWAV200 also tips the scale at 1.5 ounces, which, while very light, is definitely heavier than the draganfly camera. I think the draganfly IV has pretty good payload capability so I bet it would be ok, but I'm just guessing, I haven't tried it myself!

Regards,
Bill

Thanks Bill,

With it's gyros, it sounds like a pretty stable video platform. Are your complete camera kits still shipping in Jan? I heard Panasonic is discontinuing their pc board cams in Jan. How does this affect you?

Thanks,
Dave
