Default Cordless Phone Video Transmitter

Is it possible to use the transmitter and receiver from a cordless phone (900mhz, 2.4 ghz, etc) to transmit video? I have seen converters that allow you to transmit video over a phone line so I thought this might not be that crazy of an idea.

The range of cordless phone is so limited, if they could transmit video it would not be very useful with airplanes. The tx power of these devices are limited by FCC regulation

I took my 900mhz cordless phone around my block and it was at least 500 feet away from the receiver and I could still maintain a conversation clearly. I have read that some 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz cordless phones can operate at over a mile.

Psst. You can always amplify the darn thing. Please don't ask me how... oh increasing the power output usually requires a Ham licence (now I know I've spelt that wrong!)

I had the same idea, but quickly dismissed since I have no electronic experience. I know in the oldern days that video had 3 components (red, blue, green). These days I'm not sure what signal comes out of CDD/CMOS camera? That might be important.

Goodluck!
