I was just wondering if anyone knows of any spylinker TX adjustments?
I am trying to figure out a ways to get more signal from the antenna.

The inexpensive spylinker tx will burn up at more than 9v. They are designed to run on 8v.

To get better range try mounting the receiver on a pvc pole 8-10ft high. Also isolate the tx from any vibration with latex foam to get a good signal. These systems can work well if you get a good one but they are not legal here in the U.S.

No, upping the voltage (even a little bit) will turn your transmitter into toast.

Mine came with instructions that indicated the 1500mW transmitter could be operated on 12 volts -- so I did -- and it lasted about four seconds before the output and driver transistors blew.

I've since replaced them and now make sure I only run it at no more than 9V. In fact, the devices they've used are actually not designed for 9V operation so I actually run mine at 7.2 volts just to be safe.

The best way to improve the range of any of the little 1.2GHz transmitters is to use a better antenna on the transmitter and/or receiver. The tiny whips that are provided are very poor.

I had the same problem with my trasmitter, I have the 1500mw one and it was burnt out. I never new what the trasistors were so I had to buy a brand new one, I still have the old one here could you please help me and tell me where to buy the transistors and what type are they, so I can repair the old trasmitter?

I'll have to hunt through my notes -- but do a search in this forum because I documented what I did here.

The transistors were the same as used in several brand of cellphone and, from memory, you can get them from Radio Shack.

Yes i did the search but unfortunately the transistors that it seamed they where is out of production it was a philips transistor that I don't have the specific model right now, but I wasn't able to find it nowhere. I need to find that transistor in an online place so I can buy it there since Radio Shack did have them, but here in Costa Rica they don't bring them.

They were commonly used in older Nokia cellphoes. See if you can find some of these (they're no longe3r fashionable so most people just throw them away when they upgrade) and strip them down.

Alternatively, I'll see if I can find an equivalent.

Hey, what exactly is your avatar a picture of?
Sure puts me in mind of the time I tried to light a campfire using white gas.
I got pretty singed but my buddy almost had to go to the ER he was laughing so hard.
