FMA Co Pilot & 2 aileron servos??
I am starting out in aerial photography using a BTE Flyin King. Being
able to keep the aircraft level and when at higher altitudes would be a
great help. For that reason I have been researching the FMA Co Pilot.
My Flyin King has one servo per aileron and the FMA Co Pilot only
hooks up to one servo for pitch and one for roll axis.
If I install the Co Pilot and plug in say the right aileron then when
centering the sticks it would give the Co Pilot the control over the
right aileron and then the left would then be centered. I am thinking that
there would be sufficiant control from the one servo to make
corrections in flight but not as quickly as if both ailerons where
moving...any thoughts about this as I really do not want to waste the
cash if it is not going to do what I need it to.
Thanks for your time

AFAIK, the FS8 Co-Pilot model does include support for two aileron servos. The downside is that you can only buy it bundled with a receiver because it is sold as a complete flight stabilisation system. The original Co-Pilot does only work with one aileron servo, but it will work when hooked up to only one of the pair in a dual servo setup such as you describe - I've tried it in a Virus ASP and it worked very well.

Connect your two servos via a Y-cabel to the Co-Pilot.

Whilst a Y harness will work just fine, you then lose the benefit of differential and flaperon mix if you happen to use it.

In the good ol´days we fixed differential when we connected the servos to the rudder. Flapperon however is a different thing.
