Default Fun fly’n Video

Just out playing around.

Had some breakups on the rolling 360 (er 540) at the end.
I’d love to blame Bill but it was me, I had the directional antenna pointed the wrong way…
It may be time to put this system in a hotter airplane.

This was using Bills BlackWidowAV 600mW system
Panasonic CX-161 72 degree CCD camera
8.5 dBi Patch antenna on the receiver
Midwest AeroStar 40

My flux capacitor melted last week, that’s why there’s no RX voltage reading.
And Dan thinks he has a booring flying field....

Great Video!! What is your setup to aquire the data for the flight information (MPH,RPM,Elevation, voltage)? Is it homebrew or is it store bought?

Thanks,

It got more interesting last friday when the Park Ranger chased us off of it...
She wouldnt say who called and complained but I believe it was the Adult Day Care people doin their picnic thing.
We have been flying there for years and this is the only complaint ever.
We plan to try it again this saturday but if we get chased off again, my flying has just been cut by about 95%.[:@]

Thanks guys,

Mike,
It’s a (in progress) telemetry system I’ve been test flying for someone else. I can’t really tell you any details about it, other than it’s not home built, very cool and I can still post my videos!

Dan, that stinks I always thought you had a pretty cool place to fly with everything considered. I spent a lot of time flying by our local golf course, I think we came to a mutual unspoken understanding that if they didn’t throw beer can’s on my runway I wouldn’t fly on their tournament days!
Hey, I saw your doing some telemetry testing, pretty neat stuff!

IA-Flyer,

I would love to get more information on the telemetry system you are flying with when it is available. It looks like a terrific system. I am currently looking for just that sort of setup for my system.

Will do Steve, I flew with a GPS on the same plane last fall and it’s amazing how close the numbers match. Real time data is nice!

Thanks antslake!
