Gyro camera mount
Hi all,
I was just wondering if it was possible to mount a camera on a mount which axis could be controlled using servos, .. and have these servos controlled by a gryo which would be mounted on the camera mount so that the camera could be locked onto an area and stay looking at it reguardless of the movement of the plane.
Oh I should also say the camera mount would be controlled by a seperate operator using a seperate tx/rx and be watching what the camera see's via rf downlink.
I have no idea how gyro's work, so best ask
thanks for any input

Look for a recent post by Skycam41 on a SFK (Super Flying King) in this forum....his camera pivots in flight....awesome video, worth the download.
Good Luck!

RE: Gyro camera mount
I have a HeliCam Solutions Pro-60 3X. It has three servo controlled axis which can be used for 'gyro' control or for control with another transmitter on the ground.
Their product is well made and light IMHO. If you contact them, tell him I sent you. Their web site is www.helicamsolutions.com.
I'm not sure if you were looking for a rig for an airplane or a heli, so I hope this helps you in some way.
