First photos with blip chip camera.......
Here are a couple of photos I took today with my Aiptek Blip Chip camera. I need to make a softer mount and then I think it will do a lot better.
The first is my house and the second one is the local grain elevator.

Focus looks OK, and there's no vibration wiggles..
I'd clean off the lens, that's where the flare is coming from.
And put the sun behind the camera if you can.
The auto-shutter in the Aiptek can make long exposures when the background is dark also which leads to blurry images..

That's the webpage the describes the camera and how it operates. It's very small and light.

I made another mount. This one is padded with 1/2" rubber foam between the plane and the mounting pad. It will hold either my aiptek blip chip camera for still shots or my aiptek Mini DV for quick aerial videos. Since Warbird Brian has lost his camera, I've also added a laniard that will keep the camera from falling out of the sky if something gives or breaks.

As soon as it warms back up a bit, if it does I will get some photos and some video done. I'm going to use the blip chip camera (the blue one) for photos, because it's actually a higher resolution camera, but I will use the silver DV II for doing short videos. That one can't be triggered from the air so I will have to hit the record button and then take off quickly. It will do around thirty five minutes of video with the CF card I have in it. If I remember correctly, with the SD chip I have in the blue camera, it will hold around four hundred photos.
