Default Zagi 60 as AP carrier platform

Hi, I'm new here. I recently built a 60" Zagi with LiPo and brushless setup. It flies so well and is so light that I thought an AIPTEK 1.3SD could not hurt it. Got the cam on ebay and put in Mr. RC CAM's microcontroller. Now it gets power from the on-board BEC and I trigger the shutter with rudder. Also, I use a folding prop to reduce drag (thought its better to take photos with power off).

Test flight today at dawn. Unfortunately, it was overcast so no spectacular scenery to expect. Anyway, it flew very well and the camera works great. You might think I'm nuts to use a Zagi for AP, but hey I have it anyway and it works. Thanks to the 60" wingspan it is well visible and I can go really high. Maybe that's an advantage.

Here a couple of pictures how I did it.

Second try! Re-focused the camera and stayed a bit more level when taking shots.

thanks for touching up the picture.. what software do you use?

btw the Zagi handles the wind pretty well. I flew it around Golden Gate bridge last weekend, and as usual, it was howling. Here's a picture.

very nice plane
i am thinking of buying one and was wondering how well the motor mount works. my friend has the zagi tazz and the plasic on the motor mount cracked a few times . have you had any problems with yours being that you have a very fast brushless motor in it?

do you have any pics of how your motor is mounted on the plane?

thanks
