RE: New pics.......
Here's a drawing of the mount for now. What I did was to get some quarter inch and some half inch white receiver foam. I made two plates of light ply and sandwiched the foam between them with 3M spray glue. I drilled a quarter inch hole in the top one and a half inch hole in the bottom. The reason for the larger hole is not to contact the bolt. Then I got a 3/4 inch dowel rod and cut one end in half, to make a flat surface. I drilled a half inch hole in that as well and glued some quarter inch foam to the arm where it contacts the mounting plate. Then I used a nut and washer, with foam under it to secure the arm to the base. I tapped the end of the arm out for a quarter inch bolt, and cya'd the bolt in. The mount is a simple piece of angle aluminum with another piece of quarter inch foam glued to that as well for the camera. I've done this in a way that the only part of the mount the bolt contacts is the base, which is epoxied to the underside of my plane, so that the arm is sticking out the side. This way even if the foam becomes debonded your camera won't fall off the plane. All in all there is almost two inches total of rubber between the camera and the plane. I'll look and see if I have any photos but if I don't I'll take some today. It's very simple and very effective.
My plane is a Kadet Senior with a Thunder Tiger .61 mounted to the top of the wing. I also have onboard wireless video but I'm seriously considering taking that off and going completely digital. I have a nikon 3700 and you would not believe the quality of the video off that camera

RE: New pics.......
Thank you for the kind words. I'm chomping at the bit to do some aerial photography when the scenery gets a little less dreary. Right now everything is all dead looking but spring is just around the corner and I've got a lot of subjects in mind. Until then I'll be experimenting with throttle settings and the like to find the "sweet spot" where I get the best photographs.
