Beginner with heli need some advice| UPDATED |
Hi
I have been flying my first heli now for about one month
And I`m enjoing it very much !!!
But I want to have some fun with camra in the heli..
I dont want a wirelass cam on the heli (Becouse when i`m flying the heli i got NO time to look at the camra screen) [:-]
So what I want is a digital (or not) cam to take photos, and maybe I can use a servo to mount on the "photo-button" on the cam.
So i can take photos with my transmitter !
If not i can maybe use a digi-cam with auto-mode ? (so the cam take ONE picture after like 10 seconds)
I now NOTHING about camra on fly !
So will you help me out and share what you know
What do you use when you are:
¤Recording ON-board-flight
¤Taking pictures in the air
thanx for all the help

RE: Beginner with heli need some advice :)
I bought an AIPTEK 5100 for 90 some dollars at Wally World. This thing is fantastic, it is light, stays on after you start it and takes decent video. I did my first test video two days ago and it worked like a champ. The file is 50 meg so I haven't uploaded it, but take my word I am impressed. There are a number of folks on this forum who have suggested this camera.

Cool..
Thanx for the help and the idea of using a cam like this
If i get it correct, that cam is only a cam for recording on a memory card ?!
But... i did not find any seller for that cam [:-]
I think i manage to find something like it maybe eBay
So.. then i wonder, is there any idea for what i can use to take PHOTOS ??
If I find a small digi-cam to take photos!
Is there any idea how i manage to "take" the photo wile i`m in the air ?

I'd go with the Blip Chip camera. It's light and small and you can set it for continuous shooting so you don't have to worry about it.

Sorry I didn't notice where you were from, I bought mine from a retail store called Walmart here in the states. Try this website http://www.aiptek.com/ and look for the Pocket DV5100M. Yes it records on a memory card. Used it again yesterday and it works great. The files are huge, but some of the folks here said that with the proper software they can be reduced. It comes with cables so you can view the video on a TV or PC.
