Just another Easy Star AP plane..........
I decided to jump on the Easy Star bandwagon after I saw some video a friend of mine shot from his.
I'll be using a 2410-09 outrunner with an 8X6 apc prop once the prop gets here and with a 3 cell lipo and 18 amp esc.
It came in at exactly 37 oz with camera and a bad esc that I had for weighing and with the lipos.
I decided to use standard servos for control and a standard 7 channel hitech receiver for range.
I'm using a Hitech Focus 6 for the Tx.
The platform for the camera is 1/8" pine plank and under that there is a ply crutch that goes back into the radio compartment. I've also added a strip of fiberglass under the "chin" and down the center to the wings for landing on hard surfaces.
Sometime in the future I might get a more powerful motor so I can put a downlink in it but that will be sometime later. Right now I'm just going to get used to how it flies and works for AP.
I'm even thinking about mods to make one of these a real neat seaplane............

Hi , Randall ....dont even think about a seaplane unless you have waterproof EVERYTHING....Murphy's law sez , sooner or later it will flip upside down , so if you go ahead - put the plane in the FRESH water upside down (saltwater's a NONO ) and see how you go.
Then you need a boat of somekind to go and get it been there- done that[:@][]

I've flown a couple of sea planes so I know what you mean. I had an eight foot telemaster that worked the best.
