Looking for DVD to MPEG 2 Software

Hello:

I record my video directly onto DVD. Is there a freeware program that converts DVD to Mpeg?

Video DVD Maker Freeware looks like it'd fit the bill to capture the mpeg on the DVD or from your camera and convert to mpeg.
