Default EDVR, 5 in 1, Multipod, etc ???? Do they exist anymore?

I have been combing the web looking for the Verbatim 5 in 1 (or similar) and I just haven't found them anywhere! Octave no longer sells the "Multipod." Was there a problem with this product??

Where might I find one?

Where did you get yours? Are you happy with it?

Any help would be appreciated!!

Yeah, that Verbatim is old, and outdated. The quality SUCKS. Get something new that will make a nice video, forget that outdated peice of garbage.

Aipetk MPVR is small and makes great videos.

Too bad the Aipetk is 6oz... kind of a brick to put on a stryker.

I've had zero luck locating a shop that has those edvr 5in1s anymore. Most say outta stock or no longer carried.

Would be sweet to get one. Every other video camera under an oz only does 15FPS slide shows.

Do a search for it on Ebay, that kind of old stuff shows up there all the time.

I too have been chasing one of those things in the last few weeks. They came out in many different brands. eg verbatrim, Stlabs, etc, but its fairly safe to say that they were all coming from the same factory in China.

Anyway, the end result of all my searching, emailing etc is that they don't make them anymore and havent made them in ages. They simply didn't sell enough to justify their factory space.

Somebody on another forum said that they are still making 64meg ones. In all my searching I have not found anywhere that sells them? All I'v been told is that the product is no longer made.

Seems a shame because there is deffinately a market in the hobby scene. If hobby shops about the world had caught on, and marketed them in hobby magazines etc, I bet they would still be making them. It also would of helped if they would of made them in a reasonable size. After all, who but us, would buy a USB stick in 128megs these days. One or Two gigs is more reasonable.

Anyway, its sucks I reckon, because they would of been lots of fun to mess around with...

I just purchased 2 from the U.K. I may sell one. Will see when they arrive. I am also using the CVS one-time use hacked video camera. They work great.

I have seen one on sale on eBAY- do a search "5in1 eDVR" and it will pop up- Good Luck. I agree that they still are the best out there for aerial video. Check out youtube.com and look for the eDVR videos on that
Cheers

Well I stand corrected! Looks like they are making them, and ya can get em sent from the UK for a good price too! Everywhere I went went on the net before, (including China) told me they no longer make them. ..

I ended up getting a used Nikon 3700 which makes some dam fine vids, but ya can't beat these 5in1 things for being able to put them on the plane anywhere.

I'm gunna go start sucking to the wife...

Cheers

Yeah I see them on there but if you paid the going rate of $95 ($60 + $35 shipping) you over paid by $25!

Michael at indoorflyer has them right now for $66.60 uninsured, $72.49 insured out the door via Royal Airmail from the UK...takes about 5 days to get one from him here in the states, he also stands behind them if you have any problems! He also takes paypal

Indoorflyer website to order 5n1

I just got mine. I don't know the history of how this thing came to sell for $70-$80 (don't care to know either.) But I would have paid three times that for it. Here is my first video with it:

When I do that on my epp Wild Wing it just bounces If you want to get rid of the wavy video you need to secure the camera tighter to the copter any vibration at the camera mount and this will happen...also it takes the best vids on a bright sunny day, any overcast will cut down on the sharpness....Glad to hear it only cost $30!

I shot this one today on my Wild Wing and added it to my collection...was up about 2500+ feet this time...it was a speck and I dare not take my eyes off it...other guys were wondering how I could still see it I think I like the 7x5 prop the best for the JustGoFly 500T!
