Hello

Just in the process of trying to build my first video down link for my R/C Heli.
I have purchased the kx 121 from B/W and at present have the ebay 800mw TX system.
I will probably be changing the TX with the B/W system before I have this project in the air.

Is it better to run the video cable from the camera to the TX in coax or just your standard RCA cable to reduce noise interferance?

The coax that I have used has the copper braded shield around it and is about 300mm in length. I have covered the camera enclosure with aluminum tape and grounded it to the camera grounding point.

The camera picture is fine but not sure if the coax will reduce the transmission range.


Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

The simple shielded cable found in a typical A/V cable will work fine for nearly all R/C wireless video installations. It is generally not required to use coax cable if you keep the lengths short. However, if you do use coax and want it to be effective, then use RG-179 or similar 75 ohm type.
