RE: 50cc YAK 54 QB,,WHO'S GOT THERE'S
I would like to see a magnesium case MVVS 58 on this baby! We have a guy here in town that is going with the evolution 58. It does add about a pound, but should actually do well for IMAC with a little more weight behind it. Also, there are guys here at our 6800 foot flying field wth those Patty Crapstaff planes at 17 pounds that still fly OK, even with only 1150 sq.in., so this plane at 17 should be fine...

RE: 50cc YAK 54 QB,,WHO'S GOT THERE'S
Hi guys I have one on order and plan on putting a DA 50 in up front with slimline pitts muffler.I talked to Rocko on the PH. last week and he said that all the 50cc Yaks are sold out. They should be shipping around the end of March. The 75 cc kits should be in around May sometime. I hope I get my 50cc kit. He told me that the 50cc kits are over sold but that around 30% of the orders will back out so I,m hoping I get one. My new engine is here waiting for its new home. This Yak should prove to be the best one yet. Hats off to Rocko and all the Aero Works team for raising the bar up to a new level.

Mark,
if the a/c are sold out, those of us who have recently order should be looking for a plan B Yak?.....can you tell us whether is it worth to wait? Will it be the case that by mid march you tell us you are out of stock and we have lost 4 weeks of delivery time on an alternative?

a/c= aircraft
plan b yak=another yak to consider since both containers are spoken for
alternative= same as above
The choice is up to you. If you want a Yak now, there are plenty to choose from. If you want the aeroworks Yak, then you will have to wait and see. Usually, not everyone that preorders actually purchases, something like 20-30%. So I guess you could say that you have a 20-30% chance of getting a Yak in this shipment if you preordered late.

Mark, I have had my name on the list (per ordered) since Jan. 8th with a credit card number, is there a good chance I will receive one of the new Yak's you are expecting in shortly? Or should I go else where..

I didn't put my name in the hat until Feb 7th. Doesn't look good for me. Guess I'd better start looking somewhere else. Maybe the GP Yak & BME55. Too bad I really like the AW Yak.

6 weeks Now I know where the phrase (slow boat from china) came from, Seems most ships today should be able to hit 15 knots or better, and if it had to go 7,000 miles, that would take about 16 days and if they were on the water on the 13th that would put them in dock on the 28th of feb. now we have customs, train/truck ect. not knowing what dock, customs hold time ect. my guess for arrival to Aerowork is Mar 21st, yes im bored and have nothing better to do.

Any new word yet on the Yak's and there location? My DA 50 showed up and is itching for its new home. I hope I get one now that there totaly sold out. I put in my order about the middle of Feb. Dont look good but I,m hoping. The AeroTec Yak is looking pretty good but the AeroWorks Yak still looks like the better airplane but time will tell. Lets hope it dont turn out like EF Yak and only a flash in the pan and a Looong never ending waiting game. What ever happened to building more than enough for the first big surge and then keep up with demand? I would pay $200.00 more if they where built right here in the USA. [X(]

But would you pay over twice as much because that is what it would truely cost. And that is probably low. I have to give China a lot of praise on how well and fast they build for such a low cost.

Yes, it's great these are built in China. If they were built here we would have the same problems as the domestic car manufacturers.......UNIONS. $200 wouldn't be close to enough. The r/c industry would never survive the American union workers. LOL! Keep building in China!!
