New Yak-54 100cc -- 15 flights later
Okay, just a quick report on the last 2 weekends worth of flights. Since I have access to a couple of experience guys, I didn't have to sweat the maiden flight. It went very well, showing just a bit nose heavy at the recommended CG setting. It is back 3/4 of an inch now, all done with battery movement aft. Last weekend included a radio upgrade to give me a Spectrum Data Logging port, this forced a few small changes. There is almost zero mixing on this Yak, and it is a real pleasure to fly. I am missing the canopy screw package which I mentioned on a parts order this morning. Thanks for a great design!

Okay I thought I just lost mine but since u said the same thing, I think the kits are missing the canopy screws. Maybe there shipping them with out the screws/ruber back washers and dont know it,
oh yeah I just flew mine 2 weeks ago, my plane was tail heavy and was the 1st i heard of, since most are noise heavy. I will recheck just to make sure. It flew great my 1st flight I only had to add two clicks of right AL to make it fly level. I checked the lateral cg and one side of wing was alittle heavy due to battery placement, so I moved the battery to other side and on the next flight I should be able to remove the 2 clicks of trim I added.
Im running the MTW075 cans with a 3 blade carbon prop, its so silent at alt that u only here the wind going through the prop. SOUNDS AWSUME during landing. Im having alittle trouble with my DA 100 I guess its not broke in enough for the 3 blade so im going to richen it up and fly it gentle for awhile for more break in.
I have my throw set by the book and with gentle settings it rolls like its on rails cant wait to try 3D and IMAC

It is a great flying plane. I am using the standard muffler cans on this one with both battery packs near the back of the canopy hatch for my perferred balance.
Aeroworks called me back the next day about the missing screws, unfortunately they are charging me .33 cents each?

Well thats one ding on them, I always keep count. I take cust service serious and if they cant fix there mess up on somethign that cheap after u spent over a grand for there product, well maybe I was wrong about them.
Do u happen to know what the 1/8 balsa sheeting in the long strips is for? Maybe repairs?
