Rgr that Zorba, I know what you mean. I know you are looking forward to building your mustang. Mine was a lot of fun. Can't wait to see your finished product. If I can be of any help please let me know. I am thinking about building another one myself.

RE: Aero Works P-51?
Here is the thread on my Aeroworks 51 with lots of pictures preparing and applying the FM.http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_94...tm.htm#9426155
Also Zorba, Yes, lots of primer. Apply, sand off, Apply, sand off ect ect. I am not a painter by and stretch of the imagination but if I learned anything from my build, the cheaper the primer you buy, the more work you will have. Save yourself about 40 hours of work sanding and priming by purchasing some veryhigh quality primer. It will fill much much better and even sand better. I purchased some off the shelf brand for about 15 bucks and it was a nightmare. If I do it again I will purchase the 50-60 dollar primer. Guranteed.

Thanks Condor, yours look real nice too. Did you paint them yourself?
@Jimmy
I can't afford a turbo. Besides my knees shake enough now I can't imagine what would happen if I had a turbo.
It will be worse with the p51 I'm sure.
Can't wait she'll be here Monday 27th.
Cheers

Thanks Nick I'll keep this in mind. I am not at that stage yet. I just got the bird and I'm in the process of epoxying the balsa.
Thanks

I'm still trying to conjur in my head how I'm going to drill the backplate and prop so they line up with the blade cutouts in the spinner and I even bought the display prop/spinner so I've got two to do and have never used a spinner which requires screws around the base (like a full scale) on a model. Are they PK type screws or machine screws on the spinners? I've not really looked yet...[]
I did finally get my door collars like yours from Darrell and had to go looking for the 2-56 ball links since I didn't have any around the house. Found a couple locally so I could start again on the first wing mod and the modeling assistant (feline) stoled one of the packages from the building table which I cannot find in the house. So now I'm waiting on more ball links to come from Horizon, but it looks like I can make your setup work....
