RE: Cessna 195
Hello everyone,
I wanted to give an update on the Cessna production.
The Cessna’s are now in production with a Late February 2010 expected delivery date.
The Cessna will be offered in two color choices Yellow or Red. We have designed the Cessna to accommodate a variety of engines from Glow to Gas. We are very excited about this plane and are looking forward to its arrival!
For more information, pictures, video and instruction manual please visit our web site at:
http://www.aero-works.net/store/detail.aspx?ID=396 or feel free to give us a call
Thank You
Rocco / Aeroworks

Archie, but do the other scale big bird manufacturers come standard with carbon wing tubes, functioning nav lights, hardware that compares to Aeroworks hardware packages, aluminum spinner & Pre-Hinged control surfaces among other things? Not that I have ever seen. I personally think this is a great deal!

Don't get me wrong. I love civil scale.Anyone manufacturing a romantic vintage cruiser like the 195 has my accolades. But I am not your typical modeller. Most folks at the field would rather spend their money on aerobats or warbirds. Those of us representing the civil aviation tradition are a minority. The demographic for this airplane is small, very small. Traditionally civil kits and ARFs do poorly compared to other markets. To introduce this model at this time, with the economy nearly crashing, with an eloguent, but pricey model such as the 195 virtually cuts the demographic in half again.
I suggest that Aeroworks send a few 195s out to sellect modellers in various markets , at cost, to advertise the modeland the company's tendency toward quality. After all, you can't see qualityin an advertisement.
I hereby volunteer.

RE: Cessna 195
I,m on the list for one of these babies.
I don,t think its over priced or that there isn,t a demand for this type of airplane.
I bet that this type of model hasn,t been offered before in this level completeness and is therfore money well spent.
No need to advertise this airframe at the dedicated enthusiat level, word will get out via the net and mags.

I have been wanting to build 1/3 " vintage civilian scale" KIT from another manufacture for quite some time. The price of this kit is
$ 700.00 not including shipping. While it is a fairly complete kit there is a lot to buy such as covering ,glue, paint and some personal preference accessories that won't be included. I think the above mentioned items will get you real close, if not over the cost of the 195. Did I forget you still have to build the kit ! Thats not bad if you like to build and I do.
Aeroworks has a very good product and the quality is right up there. Personally I am amazed at the quality of most ARF's today and wonder, even with cheap labor how they do it. That is not a call to raise prices, I think the ratio of bang verses buck is just fine.
I know this is an apples and oranges comparison. And yes the price is up there and it will be the most expensive R/C plane I have ever had but everyone at the field won't have one. [8D] Maybe someday I will still get to build the $ 700.00 kit.
just my two cents

So, for the record, you are opposed to Aeroworks sellingme the model at a discount. Remind me not to take you along the next time I purchase anautomobile.
I guess we will see which of us is correct.

One thing to consider is the time necessary for the builders to assemble the various parts. It would appear to be greater than your average aerobatic aircraft therefore leading to greater costs incurred for assembly. [Just a thought]
Let me know if you do get a discount and I,ll drive down to Texas next time I,m looking for a new car. lol
I do think that they will sell quite a few of these planes as they are a well built/detailed alternative for all the guys that don,t want to fly yet another Cub.

Rumor has it that Aeroworks is also developing a float set up for the 195. would this be true, and if so would they be coming out at the same time as the plane ?

RE: Cessna 195
Rick,
Currently we do not have any plans on making floats for the Cessna 195 we do plan on making floats for our new 50cc Cub S2 in the future. The first production of Cessna’s has left our factory in China and will be In Stock late January!
Happy New Years!

RE: Cessna 195
Cessna’s are In Stock and shipping!
We inspected the shipment and the factory has out done themselves. They really came out nice. The Red color scheme is AWSOME!
Thank You
