Default 100cc Yak Maiden

Got out today and had the maiden flight with my Yak. What another great plane from Aeroworks. I love the way this color scheme presents itself in the air. It really stands out. Everyone at the field commented on how well it stands out and is easy to see, It does very nice knife edge with just a hair of elevator and roll coupling. I would say about 3% elevator and not enough roll to worry about. I didn't program in a mix today as it is easy to control it with the sticks.Snap rolls and tumbling are a blast. Ended up putting on about 8 or 9 flights. On one of the flights one of the servo screws fell out. No problem I just came in and landed without anygrief. Oops I forgot to locktite one of them.

Awesome Doug
I have a feeling there is a little "Extra" and a certain "Pitts" that are going to be seriously neglected

Woah Buddy........You got the disease bad LOL
Rocco needs to give you some stock in Aeroworks I think

I am coming to the end of my breakin mix on the 57. One more day to the field to finnish off the jug then I will be changing the spark plug, changing the oil ratio and twisting the needles
I am glueing in a pilot and my dash while I charge my batteries for tomorrow.

A buddy I fly with just maidened his 80cc aeroworks yak last monday. The new red and white one. He has a ZDZ Super80 in it with one huge cannister. It sounds unbeleivable and pulls.....well pulls like nothing I have seen...YET
That ZDZ80 ran so smooth and nice. I was seriously impressed. We also had an Aeroworks 100cc extra 260 with a DA100 in it flying with us. The size of that plane is sweet. I am saving my pennies for next summer to get the new Aeroworks 100cc Extra 300...Yeah Baby

Ya I got it bad is right. Keeps me outta trouble though. I don't know if I will get time to build the Extra this summer or not. I may save it for something to do this winter. NOT!!  Hope to have it in the air in July.  I have some things to get done in the mean time so all my spare time will be at the field. I am looking forward to running the ZDZ. The compression on it is incredible, and it hasn't even been run. It takes a good hard flip to turn it over.

That was something I noticed as well the first time I flipped the engine to start it for my friend. I wasn't expecting it and I didn't even get it through the compression stroke when it bounced back on me. Big difference compared to the 57.

I am still flying my AW 75cc Yak/ZDZ Super 80 and it is an awesome combo, this is my second season flying it and it still looks new! The Super 80 gives it insane power, I am now building the 100cc Extra 260/DA-100L. I know it will be an awesome plane also as all AW planes are, this is my third AW plane and I have been totally satisified.

Dang, I did a couple of blenders today and when I was removing my wings at the end of the day I found the wing tube was bent. I guess I'll order a carbon fiber one now.

Ouch is right, I just looked up the prices. The funny thing is I didn't expect it. I wasn't beingviolentwith it. We were quite surprised to see it bent. I may as well order one for the 75cc Extra at the same time as I see some of them have bent too. Maybe I can get a deal buying both of them at once.

I had a chat with Mark today. Ordered a tube for my Yak and my 75cc Extra. Figured I'd get a new spinner for the Yak and ended up ordering a panel for the Python too. Time to stay away from the phone for a while.
