Got a sneak peak of the 30cc Edge on thursday. Very, very nice plane!
This size of plane is gonna be fun and you can throw two or three in the truck and go.

My hope is when they are setting up the cowl/engine relationship, they note that the consumer can not get a new side draft DLE-30 any longer.

RE: DLE-30 Airframe
So, the distances from the motor box to the proper clearance ( spinner to cowl ) will be different. To me, it would be easier to space out the old original DLE-30 rather than cutting a hole in the face of the motor box big enough to allow the prop to recess into the airframe. Cutting the face of the motor box will make the box weaker. I wonder how AW will respond to this difference.

RE: DLE-30 Airframe
We are using the DLE30cc Rear Carb for the fitting and testing for the New 30cc Edge. The box length will accmodate the Rear Carb without cutting a hole in the firewall to fit the Carb. We have designed the plane around the Rear Carb engine. We have been testing the Rear Carb engine for about two months and the performance is very good and the engine runs extremely well.
We will also fit the new Edge with electric power. Looking forward to this one!
Thanks for the comments it helps us to design the best possible product for our customers

Rocco, thanks from an old Texan that buys your well prepared products. I appreciate your looking to the future instead of just standing pat on your wonderful designs.

RE: DLE-30 Airframe
When we begin the engine mounting on this plane we will look into mounting the 30cc DLE Rear Carb and see what we can do. We hope to start the testing soon.
