RE: 46 and 60 Extra 260 Freestyle! VIDEO ADDED!!
Hey Guys,
Little off topic... i got the AW prox260 .46-.60 size. All built up and ready with a Os 65ax. I seem to find it difficult to find my CG. when balancing from front close to fuse at the recommended i get slightly tail. when balancing from wing tips, i get nose heavy ????? i even tried single point balance from the fuse and i get almost balanced.
Pls advise.

a1pcfixer, been following your posts as well as goos's which were a great help and motivation for me to purchase the 60-90 size for my dle20. I have started working on the fuse mod and is almost done with it. It would be a great help if you could measure the distance between the tip of the fuse and the first engine mount holes. Just wanted to make sure I follow your way of moving the CG but dont want to commit a mistake by moving the engine too far forward. Hope you could find few minutes for me

I had my local hobby shop order the .60ProX260 Freestyle a week before Christmas , am anxious to get it but still waiting
Not as much of a rush now that I got emergency surgery done on shattered elbow from accident at work, but anxious still to see it arrive none the less
Am putting the dle 20 on it
Any idea why shipping is delayed so much , Holidays or what

I still have no plane , I mean really
I will not make this mistake again
I have started posting on different forums to see if their service has gotten this bad for others , or if it just happens to be my order for some reason

I received a return email I sent them today
The plane shipped yesterday
There was a short circuit somewhere in the order, but it is on the way
I will give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it was as unusual occurrence for an order to be delayed so long
I am anxious and excited about getting it ,
The local hobby shop owner told me they sell planes that fly well and go together well

I am just wondering if those 1/4 tie wraps are overkill to hold on the gas tank of the 60. 90. Freestyle. Seems like some 1/8 would work fine. I'm putting on the DLE engine and they sent me the smaller tank with the mounting kit so the large ties just don't seem necessary.

Hello rwilabee,
When the fuel tank is full there is allot of weight to keep strapped to the side of the fuse. I would recommend using the 1/4” straps. If you choose to change to 1/8” straps just make sure they are good quality and they should be OK to use.
Thank you

Hello camiloro! I have a Saito 82 on mine which weighs very close to your 55AX. As long as the engine is mounted about in the middle of the range in the mounting area you will be fine. In other words, don't put it back as far as it will go, and don't move it forward as far as it will go. After your test flight if it is nose heavy you can add a small weight to the tail. If it is a bit tail heavy, add a spinner to the engine instead of using a small aluminum spinner-nut. It is a fun plane! Keep us posted.
