Please hurry up with the specs and some inside guts pics cowl and canopy off . My seagull extra 260 180 size with DLE30 V2 just went down this means I have a motor with no plane. Before being told about this plane I was considering 2 options A. rebuild the seagull kit or B. The Sbach 342 Now well there maybe a C. if time is on our side.
I have never owned a aeroworks or any high end kit for that matter I am ready for a quality ARF!!!

Not to hijack...but is AW working on an Sbach? I love my AW Edge but the Sbach is something else! I had only one place to get mine when they came out at first, but if AW had one it would be in my hangar!

At this time we do not have plans to produce a Sbach. We do have a few new designs in the works though

We also designed the 30cc Edge to accommodate any type of power system! This airplane can accept 2 and 4 stroke glow, 30cc gas and Electric power options with the thought out simplicity only Aeroworks can provide. All the hardware and templates are included for both glow and gas installations. All electric options including the mount can be found at Tower Hobbies. We are very excited to bring this truly versatile airplane to the market and look forward to getting them out for all to enjoy.
I have included a few pictures showing all motor installations as well as the internal layout of the fuse.
Specs:
Wing Span: 74"
Wing Area: 1000sq in
Fuse Length rudder to cowl: 67"
Fuse Length rudder to spinner: 70"
Cowl Width: 8"

Man the more I look at those pics the more I whant that plane. Awesome thing is the dle-30 and that airframe size is a good size for me, easy to move around and its not to big. Aeroworks is killing me with these planes, they just wont stop with these beautiful aircraft. Last year I bought my better half a very nice lap top for christmas and she said this year she wants to buy me something that I really want, im affraid I just found that gift, lol. 30cc Edge 540 here I come! Mark/Rocco, do yall have a ball park figure on what this plane will cost?

Hello Moki 1.8,
Thank you for the great comments and support.
We are finalizing the changes to the 30cc Edge 540 for the production models and expect the first production to begin early October. So if all goes as planned we should see the first shipment late Dec early Jan. We are still working on the sale price.
We will have the web page built soon with more information.
Thank You
Rocco / Aeroworks

Great looking machine.....I notice that the cowl has a metallic fleck through the black, does the black trim on the rest of the plane (like around the wing) have the same fleck in the trim? also is there any chance of getting a hint at the other 30cc models you guys are likely to release? Great work Aeroworks!

Rooster6,
Yes, the Black color is actually Pearl Charcoal it has a carbon or like you said metallic look. This is the same color we use on our 100cc Edge 540 and it is Awesome looking especially in the sun. The paint in the cowl has the same look.
Thank you

Hey Rocco I have the 35cc Extra 260. I had a dle-55 on it and it was a monster, kinda to much engine. But would the dle-30 be a good engine for this plane? I find the 30 is a really strong engine.

I flew the 35cc Extra 260 with the DLE 30cc, flying weight was 13 lbs, and the performance was very good. If you are looking for a light flying sport model with good power, not unlimited power, it is a good combination.
Thank you,
Rocco / Aeroworks

Can you tell me what size spinner and prop you used on the prototype and if you will be stocking the spinner at a later date? I assume it was carbon fiber.
Thanks.
