Exclamation Electric Airplane design

Hi everyone,

I am working on a project to design an electric plane that can fly at a specific speed. I would like to know if there is any formula to calculate the T/W ratio of the plane to achieve the desired speed.

Is there a standard textbook way to design the power system for a given airspeed? And how to estimate the maximum achievable speed by the selected power train.

I would be very grateful if you could suggest any books or resources that can teach me more about this topic. Thank you so much for your time and help.

Try ecalc. I'm not a salesman, I have just used it on occasion.

I appreciate your recommendation, ecalc has been a reliable tool for my previous multirotor projects. I will experiment with it on this one. I am looking for an empirical method to achieve these calculations if you know of any textbooks or spreadsheet methods please let me know.
