I've acquired this bird, owner passed away and son had no information on this bipe. Am curious to know what it is and any info on it would be greatly appreciated also CG info. It's about 20 lbs, has Quadra 35, WS bottom is 60 in and top 80 in. Pics follow, thanks for any help.

That is a "Der Jager" from Balsa USA. Not scale, but a nice flying sport bipe.

You can contact Balsa USA, I think they still sell the plans. It is from the '80s, I have flown one years ago. You should enjoy it.

Thank you chaps, was able to get all the info I needed. Just got to put the wings on and she'll be ready to fly once I check out the CG

Thanks again to all that led the way to identify this bird. Knowing what I was dealing with I was able to find specs, mainly C of G but it's great to know what I have.
Finally had a chance for maiden flight a few days ago and it turned out to be a great stable aircraft.
I'll share the first take-off

In 1982, I bought a 1/3 scale Fly Baby biplane from Balsa USA, 2 months later they came out with the "De Jager". I would have rather had the De Jager. So in '86, I built my De Jager from Cunningham's Lazy Ace plans. I knew it was a good flyer and could be bashed easily, it was powered with a Webra Speed 90. I t flew it until I sold it at a swap meet in '92. Here is my De Jager.

Beautiful "bashed" Lazy Ace Rich. Looks like a superbly built model and one would be hard pressed to determine its humble beginnings from its appearance!
