I love Jurgis (and indeed all of the Haute Voltige competitors), I've downloaded as much stuff as I can from his pictures and videos....... Oh if I only lived near Twin Ring Motegi!
By the way the last picture is of him harriering. I have the full video to prove this to. It's, amazing...

Am I the only one who thinks how much of a thrill that would be? In about 10 years you might see my name on pictures like that, lol! I only have 40 hours in a C-172 so far...

Well don't forget he KNOWS his airplane.
In fact he built all of his airplanes. And in fact he designed and flight tested the SU-31, SU-29, and SU-26. And the one pictured is his own personal one that he lightened even more.
I can't wait to see him in his JUKA [>:]

I'd hardly call him nuts really. He knows the capabilities of the airplane, and his own as well. Actually I'm sure he's in no more danger in that shot than I am driving to work facing drivers missing turns and slipping into oncoming traffic with a cell phone screwed into their ear.

no way you're not the only one. I have my license already and am reading up on full scale aerobatics as much as I can. This way I'll get the most bang for my buck when I take lessons this spring in an Extra 200 and 300. Man, I can't wait. I know you start off with simple aerobatics first but I cant wait to tumble through the sky. Watching Sean D. Tucker, Jurgis Kairys and Jimmy Bulldog, etc. do some awesome violent aerobatics really appeals to me. None of that graceful old lady aerobatics for me, I want to experience what those guys can do. But I doubt my instructor or his plane can handle what Tucker and those guys can dish out. And not too many can or do fly at that level. I'm sure loops, rolls and spins will keep me occupied for a long while!

RE: This dude is nuts...
Aerobatic Airshow 2004, Al Ain started off by 3 Mirage 2000's from the UAE Air Force coming from nowhere to in-your face !!! I mean they just came behind the dunes really low and towards the crowd and broke off in to a bomb style break. Then came the saudi hawk's with a fabulous display of the synchronized flying and maneuvers.
Last but not least were the most amazing Haute-Voltige team who displayed skill and courage to fly their full scale extra's and Sukhoi's from under 10ft from the ground. These guys were outrageous !! You will not beleive till you see waht these guys can do with the planes. knife edge 10 ft or less from the ground. low rolls, barrell rolls, you name it !! more to come in the coming days still have to go see tommorrow what they gonna do.
Rumours are that these guys are gonna do even more that what they did today on the last couple of days of the event, as those days will be the finals of the Fai World Grand Prix.
Slight Changes of Schedule
venue : Al Ain international Airport. (U.A.E)
Time 1330 hrs onwards.
date: 2nd feb - 6th feb 2004
URL : http://www.haute-voltige.com
Temp: 28-30 C winds moderate to calm / Sunny (in the face)
Map: Well you just need to drive down to Al Ain and the place is full of sign boards pointing to the airport. it shouldnt be a problem.
Participating Airplanes.
Mirage 2000 - 3
Saudi Hawks - 6
Solo Pilots
HV Team
Flying Bull
Solo
More SOLO
More Crazy Solo....
Prachuters
RC Jets
RC Extra's
RC Helis.
Totally Awesome !
oh yeah and 130 km Ride back to Dubai, if you are from Dubai that it. !!
Regards
Aziz
