[b]If he levels his wings he still has six feet under the wheels. Either he's in a cross wind or he's chicken.

Haw.

As for the biker, he had enough vertical to do a flip instead of a sideways thingee. He's definitely not chicken, must be either crazy or an idiot

[b]Crazy, an idiot, a fool, or any combination thereof.

Getting that far off the ground without a parachute or a safety net requires an empty head.

It is definately a Modified Pitts S1. I can tell it is modified due to the squared off wing tips. His wing tip I bet is less than a foot off the ground. Any of you that have flown Pitts know that this pilot is sucking some seat cushion right now!!! Sweet shot!!

I'd say that would work. Looking at the elevators, I think he crashed just after this shot was taken. It doesn't take much drag on the wheels to bring something like a Cup down. Now, if I saw the elevators were up, then it would be a different story.

Not so sir. What the down elevator (and the down angle of the fuselage) shows, is that he's flying near the maximum speed of he plane, he's using the elevator to hold its low altitude.

The minute he releases the forward stick the plane will enter a zoom climb. Or at least what passes for a zoom climb with a J-3 or J-4 Cub.

Oh, I didn't even think about that. Makes very much sense though.

I guess if he was going slow then you wouldn't have that much water splashing!

The position he is in right now is similar to what you want to do on a wheel landing. He didn't crash. Kirby Chambliss does this in a Pitts. I'll see if I cant find the pic.
