One of the sport systems in a Vans or Lanceair would be amazing!
I see the GPS is WAAS, so I assume its certafied for PREC approches?
All you'd need for full IFR is the Chelton, a Garmin SL30, and a xponder!???!!?? wow! am I wrong here?
I'm amazed at the technology!

I got to play with an actual unit at a friend's avionics shop. We put it in demo mode and flew a short flight. Simply amazing what technology is available in GA cockpits these days. Of course in the Chelton's case you are definitely paying to play but on a nicer aircraft, the cost of high end avionics is a small percentage of the whole plane.

The Baron 55 I fly at work has one, took a few hours to get comfortable with all the featurs but well worth the effort! You're correct that it does have WAAS, and with the HITS (Highway In The Sky) you have VNav nearly all the time. Takes all the work out of IFR!
