Hi! As I recall, the KA wings are partially sheeted with plywood and the area you refer to should be able to be rib stitched. If that area isn't open bay structure, then I'm not sure of the procedure.

Sorry about my previous reply I just noticed you were referring to full scale. There are strict procedures for the distance between the rib stitching for undercambered wings and you have to be careful about tightening as if the fabric or coatings shrink too much they could pull out the stitches/screws or even warp the thin ribs. Sounds like an interesing project. Norm

sorry i may be in the wrong section for full size aircraft,not a model of the ka8, the old covering has no ribstitch,looked to
be attatched with glue only on the bottom side of the wing in the openbay area which is strange to me , glider came from germany and was factory assembled, the leading edge is ply,thanks craig
