Dual Servo Flap throw
I must be missing something, setting up an aircraft with 2 flap servos (set in TYPE as such) and assigned to a VR switch (5), I cannot increase the amount of throw for my needs. The pre-programming must be limited to about a 40 degree max throw or I am missing something?
C-Mix is an option of course but I am curious!
Thanks
Steve

RE: Dual Servo Flap throw
Hi Steve,
A couple of things. In order for VR5 to have control over the Flaps, the Flap Switch must be in the Flap1 position. VR5 will then proportionally control the Flaps from 0 degrees to maximum deflection determined by the EPA percentage value you've programmed for LF (Left Flap) and RF (Right Flap) in the SURFACE menu. To adjust how far each flap deflects, adjust the RF and LF Flap1 EPA percentage value in the SURFACE menu. Keep in mind that EPA values that exceed the LIMIT values for that channel will not be reflected on your model because EPA can never exceed the LIMIT. So, if your LIMITS for LF and RF are 100%, but you need more throw, first set the LIMITS to 150% (or whatever you desired), then adjust the EPA to match. Please note that to adjust FLAP1 EPA, the Flap switch must first be in the FLAP1 position. The SURFACE menu will display N,1 or 2 next to the LF and RF entries based on the position the Flap switch is in.
I hope this helps.

Todd

RE: Dual Servo Flap throw
Hi Todd,
Type includes two flap servos. I have set the switch assignment for flap 1 to ON flap 2 is - VR assignment Flap 1 is assigned to VR5. Limits are set to 150 respectively. EPA allows for max 40 degree throws.
Are you telling me that I have to assign Flap1 to toggle and assign VR5 to flap 1 to obtain more throw? I guess it would help from accidently turning flaps on etc... I'll try it!

RE: Dual Servo Flap throw
Didn't make a difference. Whether I assign Flap 1 to a toggle or just turn it on and assign it to the VR5, the EPA just shifts the 40 degree throws on LF and RF in surface as if they were sub trims.
