SD10-G DISPLAY
I noticed that the screen on my SD10-G Tx when in direct sunlight starts to darken @ each corner. Is this normal? It clears up when it is out of sunlight.
Is this impending screen failure?

Don't leave it in the sun like that! It's and LCD display and the sun will do that.
You possibly could have failure if you continue and personally I would not consider it warranty.
If you going to leave your TX in the sun face the display away from direct light.

I am not leaving it in the sun. This happens during pre-flight checkout & flying time of 10 -15 minutes. I then place TX out of direct sunlight.

Ahhh in thar case I would be concerned to.
Hopefully Mike or one of the others from global will chime in.

The screen has a polarization filter and will not fail in sunlight although yes it does darken it a little in sunlight.
Your sunglasses make it look vastly worse than it is however. Some sun glasses do it more than others.

My RDS 8000 2.4 does the same thing, so does my Polk Hobbies radio. It is a pain in the butt when your screen goes black when your trying to trim in a new plane and have no idea what is going on. I put it in the fridge in our club house about 30 sec and it clears up.

raptureboy,
the SD-10 screen shows different effects. It's rather similar to the Futaba 12FG. It does not go black like the RDS8000 if exposed to heat.
