Default LiFe for SD-10G

Anyone know of a 3S LiFe that fits the SD-10G? (Brand, cat. #, vendor, etc.) 3S is 9.9V which is what I think I need. (SD-10G rated for 6.7-10V)

Thanks!
Trey

Hi Trey,

That value is the operating voltage range, not the nominal input voltage range. You shouldn't use a battery greater than 7.4 volts nominal. We recommend 2S or LiFe or even better, 2S LiPo, like this one here http://www.hobbypeople.net/index.php...-2300-20c.html

Best regards,
Todd

I've read the horror stories about charging LiPo's and would like to go with LiFe if I can but the 2S LiFe is only 6.6V which is just under the minimum for the SD-10G. The 2s LiFe will work? I'll go with the LiPo if I have to but I don't like having to be in the same room while a battery charges and from what I hear, LiPo's require that.

Thanks

The 2S LiFe isn't really appropriate for the transmitter. Sanwa recommends using 2S LiPo like the one I linked to above.

btw, you can blow up LIFE batteries too... However, with careful care (never over-discharge, etc), LIPO's work GREAT as a TX battery.

You can use a 2S lithium Ion battery (camera battery).

Have my SD-10G since 9/2009. It has gone through 3 TX( all NimH) batteries and is ready for another. I'm thinking Lipo this time around.
Any other LIPO choices other than the one from Graves R/C and the other; from Hobby People ?( Appreciate hearing reviews on those two)

Airtronics has a nice radio here, but it's getting (actually already is) a bit old in the tooth. Back in 2009, they hinted about an all new radio with more functions that would arrive in the not too distant future. Right.

Listening Sanwa ?

The 2800mah 2S 7.4 pack on this page from Radical R/C. $22 + $3 shipping. Been using 2 since June 2011 in my SD-10G's.

Thanks, Thud Driver. That's a good endorsement.
